Can air heating be attractive?

Finding a visually appealing indoor AC unit is always a challenge, especially when a project has no budget for a ducted system with only grilles and registers visible in the rooms (to be fair, there are unattractive grilles too but they are easier to work with). I accidentally came across Quilt online while researching options for a current project. It’s still a large box on the wall, but at least it’s a stylish one.

On the technical side, I am excited about air-water heating combos like Harvest (developed right here in the East Bay), which optimize the heating of the entire house as one interconnected system. By integrating both air and water heating into a single, cohesive unit, they optimize the entire house's heating efficiency as one interconnected system. This means that rather than having separate systems for different areas or functions, everything works together seamlessly to provide consistent and efficient heating throughout the home. With air-water heating combos, we are seeing a transition from traditional, less efficient methods to more innovative solutions that are already common in Europe but are now becoming available in the US.

And yes, that is where great solutions for grilles come in handy such as Aria vents which blend into the space. The temperature will be just right, but it will take you a moment to determine where the air is coming from because you don't need to notice what is designed to be secondary.
